We had a packed church for our Carol Service on Sunday, 18th December. The service was led by our own singing group "Hymns and Hers" with other members helping with the readings. A small choir of children sang "Little Donkey" beautifully, with a solo from Hannah Welch and "Hymns and Hers" sang "Silent Night". The children also put up pictures at the front of the Church to compliment the readings. It was an excellent traditional service and many thanks to those who organised the evening. After the service refreshments and mince pies were served

Christmas Lunch at Church
Friday 16th December 2011

Over 80 people attended the annual Christmas lunch at Church on Friday, 16th December. They had a wonderful 3 course meal, finishing off with tea/coffee. Val and her staff did a brilliant job in the kitchen and the whole event was superb. Children from Abbey Park Junior School sang carols and after the meal everyone was entertained by a local singer, Ricky Cullen. A raffle was held and people were also invited to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the meal. Congratulations to all who helped in any way.
