March Tuesday Fellowship
Monday 11th March 2019
Illingworth Moor Tuesday Fellowship Group welcomed Jeanne Stilt at their March meeting. She spoke about her early life in S. Africa and Rhodesia where her father worked in the RAF. She told us about her father’s work helping the displaced people during the building of the Zambesi dam and how she met The Queen Mother. At nine years old she was chosen to present a bouquet to her when The Queen Mother was in the country to open the new dam. Jeanne was extremely interesting and the group thoroughly enjoyed her talk and she was given a vote of thanks by Roz Greenwood.
Next month we will be entertained by a group of ukulele players and it promises to be another good meeting. This will be on Tuesday, 2nd April and all are welcome to come along. It only costs £2 and that includes tea and biscuits afterwards.
