Rev. Tony Morling
Forty years ago, Tony stopped working within Jersey's retail jewellery trade and trained at Cliff College, Wesley House Cambridge and York St John Universities. He was ordained in 1991 and led churches in Portsmouth, Bournemouth, London and Jersey. Community engagement and mentoring are two aspects of ministry that he particularly enjoys, and is now excited to be sharing in God's mission in the Calderdale Circuit. Tony is married to Cathy, an actress, and they have two sons, Columba and Ronan, and moved to Halifax in 2024 after eleven years of ministry in the Channel Islands. Cathy is involved in many aspects of ministry including the charity, Kairos Arts, which uses the arts to bring healing and hope. They are now delighted to be in Yorkshire which is Cathy's home county. He plays most racquet sports, loves football (Chelsea) and is looking forward to exploring the north of England's countryside, steam trains and rugby league.
